Pickleball’s indoor boom just got a new address in the Lowcountry.
PickleRage, a fast-growing indoor pickleball club franchise, is officially opening its first South Carolina location in North Charleston — and they’re turning the launch into a two-day community celebration on March 6–7, 2026.
The new club is located at 5101 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North Charleston, SC, and it’s designed for year-round play with a climate-controlled indoor setup and programming for everyone from first-timers to competitive players.

Grand Opening Weekend: What’s Happening
PickleRage is hosting two mornings of play, instruction, and community activities — a smart way to introduce the facility to local players and give newcomers a low-pressure way to try the sport.
Friday, March 6: “Friday at the Rage” (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
Friday’s schedule is built around open play and a mix of fun and competitive formats:
- Open play across 10 courts
- A clinic led by a PickleRage pro
- Side activities like Picklepong
- DUPR-rated round robin play for players who want a structured, rating-focused format
A ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the North Charleston Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., with City Council members, PickleRage leadership, and on-site staff participating in opening remarks.
Off the courts, attendees can expect:
- Food offerings
- Local vendors
- Giveaways and raffles throughout the morning
Saturday, March 7 (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
Saturday continues the celebration with expanded options for players who want either casual games or more guided play:
- Open play across 10 courts
- Three designated challenge and clinic courts
- A mix of competitive and instructional opportunities
The format is designed so players can move between casual play, structured challenges, and clinic courts as the morning goes on.
A New Indoor Option for Year-Round Play
For players who’ve dealt with weather swings, heat, or limited court access, indoor clubs like this are becoming a big part of pickleball’s next phase.
PickleRage North Charleston features climate-controlled indoor CushionX courts and plans to offer ongoing programming such as:
- Open play
- Clinics
- Leagues
- Events
In the company’s announcement, David Smith, COO of PickleRage, said the response from local players has been strong so far and that the grand opening is a chance to celebrate with the broader community.
Why This Matters (Especially for the Southeast)
PickleRage describes the North Charleston opening as an important step in its continued expansion across the Southeast — and it’s another sign that indoor pickleball is becoming a major part of how the sport grows.
For seniors and recreational players in particular, indoor facilities can be a game-changer: consistent conditions, predictable scheduling, and a community hub that makes it easier to keep playing (and improving) year-round.
