If you’ve been following the National Pickleball League (NPL), here’s the big update: effective January 28, 2026, NPL is officially becoming Champions Series Pickleball (CSP).

The National Pickleball League has rebranded as Champions Series Pickleball (CSP), expanding into pro leagues and a tournament series for 40+, 50+, and 60+ divisions.

The organization says the rebrand reflects its growth into both professional leagues and a premier tournament series, designed specifically for players competing in the 40+, 50+, and 60+ age divisions—the heart of the “mature market” that continues to drive pickleball’s momentum nationwide.

Why “Champions Series Pickleball”?

In the announcement, CSP makes it clear that this name is about identity, not just marketing. The league points to the accomplishments of its player community—on the court and beyond it—calling its athletes “champion” competitors and leaders with meaningful careers and impact outside of sports.

In other words, this isn’t positioned as “age-group pickleball.” It’s positioned as high-level competition built around experienced players—and that’s a lane worth watching as the sport keeps professionalizing.

A new logo that nods to NPL’s roots

CSP also emphasized continuity. The new logo keeps recognizable pieces of the original NPL look, including:

  • The pickleball icon
  • similar font style
  • A clear visual “homage” to the league’s foundation

The message: the brand is evolving, but the league isn’t walking away from what it built as NPL.

About Champions Series Pickleball

Founded in 2022 as the National Pickleball League, Champions Series Pickleball now represents a broader umbrella: pro leagues plus a tournament series celebrating players in the 40+, 50+, and 60+ divisions. CSP says it aims to give:

  • Fans are a community to connect with
  • Players have a platform to pursue their passion
  • The sport a reminder that age should never be a barrier

The organization describes itself as “created for Champion Pros by Champion Pros,” built from the lived experience of its co-founders and players.

What to watch for (Sleeves take)

  • Tournament series details: dates, cities, formats, and how players qualify
  • League structure updates: team news, season format, and broadcast/streaming info
  • How CSP markets 40+/50+/60+ as premium competition: this is the real differentiator

If CSP delivers on the promise behind the name, this rebrand could be more than a logo swap—it could be a signal that senior-level pickleball is getting its own spotlight, with a structure built to match the talent and the audience.
